Building Inspector — Your Trained Eye Keeps Standards High

Spotting defects, checking compliance, reading structures — that diagnostic skill took years to develop. Now you can get paid for it.

The Observer Programme pays experienced building inspectors and surveyors to record their working day using lightweight smart glasses.

How it works

• Wear smart glasses during your inspections
• Record sessions from 30 minutes up
• Spend a few minutes after each session confirming what tasks you did
• Get paid per recorded minute
• All recordings are anonymised — no faces, no voices, no identifying details

What you'll earn

€20–€28 per recorded hour

€80–€112 per recording day (based on ~4 hours)

€1,200–€1,800 per month (based on 20 recording days)

First Observers earn a launch bonus. Extra earnings possible through referral bonuses.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of inspection or surveying experience
• Currently working — employed or self-employed
• Hands-on inspection work: site visits, compliance checks, defect identification
• Smartphone (iOS or Android)

All specialisms welcome: local authority building control inspector, private approved inspector, structural surveyor, damp and drainage surveyor.
