Underground Miner — Extreme Expertise, Extreme Value

Drilling, blasting, operating in confined underground environments — your expertise in one of the world's most dangerous professions is exceptionally valuable.

The Observer Programme pays experienced underground miners to record their working day using lightweight smart glasses. Mining is one of the highest-earning specialisms on the programme.

How it works

• Wear smart glasses (compatible with mining helmets)
• Record sessions from 30 minutes up
• Get paid per recorded minute
• All recordings are anonymised

What you'll earn

€110–€180 per recorded hour

€4,000–€6,000 per month (based on 20 recording days)

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of underground mining experience
• Currently working
• Smartphone (iOS or Android)

All roles welcome: hard rock miner, longwall coal miner, continuous miner operator, mine electrician, mine ventilation technician, shotcrete operative.
