ODP — Your Theatre Expertise Has Real Value

Anaesthetics, scrub, recovery — you move through every phase of the patient's surgical journey. That expertise has real value.

The Observer Programme pays experienced Operating Department Practitioners to record their working day using lightweight smart glasses and a wristband. You continue your normal theatre work — we capture what that expertise looks like.

How it works

• Wear smart glasses and a wristband during your theatre shifts
• Record sessions from 30 minutes up
• Spend a few minutes after each session confirming what tasks you performed
• Get paid per recorded minute
• All recordings are anonymised — no patient faces, no voices, no identifying details

What you'll earn

€28–€42 per recorded hour

€112–€168 per recording day (based on ~4 hours)

€2,000–€2,800 per month (based on 20 recording days)

First Observers earn a launch bonus. Extra earnings possible through referral bonuses.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of ODP experience in an operative role
• Currently working in theatre — employed or agency
• Hands-on work: anaesthetic support, scrub assistance, recovery management
• Smartphone (iOS or Android)

All specialisms welcome: anaesthetic ODP, scrub ODP, recovery ODP.
